A message from our founder

Help Yourself to Law was created from personal experience.

I know how overwhelming a legal dispute can feel, and I built this service so no one has to face it alone.

Help Yourself to Law’s story

I have been where you are now. I understand the stress, uncertainty, and the pressure that a legal dispute can put on you and your family. I felt alone, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn.

For me, hiring a solicitor was out of reach. But with the right guidance, I felt I could manage the casework myself. Because no one knew my case better than me. Unfortunately, there was no service available to offer ongoing and affordable, step-by-step legal support. I was left to climb that mountain alone, and it was painful.

After my experience, I was determined to make sure others didn’t face the same situation. A career change into law later and Help Yourself to Law was born.

While working for the UK’s leading consumer advice charity and a Top 500 law firm, I saw how essential the first steps of case analysis are. Most people simply need clear, tailored advice to get on the right track. As free services don’t usually offer ongoing support and law firms often need to take over the case, many people fall between these two systems. That’s where we step in.

Why Help Yourself to Law Exists

Not everyone needs a full law firm. Many people just need clear guidance, reassurance, and someone to point them in the right direction. That is exactly why this service was created.
